Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 September 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of CIRE (the “Service”) at cire.patridex.com. By creating an account or using the Service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data and forms part of this agreement.

2. Eligibility and age

You must be at least 13 years old to use CIRE. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or your school, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. If you are using CIRE through a university or employer, you must also comply with that institution’s own rules, and your institution may have a separate agreement with us that governs its users.

3. Your account

Sign in with an emailed one-time code or a supported third-party provider. Keep control of the mailbox or provider account you sign in with — anyone holding it can reach your CIRE account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

4. Your content

Your documents remain yours. You grant us only the licence we need to run the Service for you: to store your documents, process them (including sending excerpts to our model provider as described in the Privacy Policy), and generate and display artifacts back to you. That licence exists to operate CIRE and ends when you delete the content or your account. We claim no ownership of your documents and do not publish them.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload material you have no licence to, or that you are contractually or legally barred from sending to a third-party processor.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not use CIRE to break the law or to infringe anyone’s rights.
  • Do not attempt to breach, probe, overload, or circumvent the Service’s security or rate limits, or access another user’s data.
  • Do not resell the Service, or scrape it to build a competing dataset or model.
  • Do not upload malware, or content that is unlawful to possess or distribute.

6. AI-generated output

CIRE’s definitions, paper context, domain graphs and idea trees are produced by a language model. They can be wrong, incomplete, or confidently misleading, and they are not a substitute for reading the source. Verify anything you intend to rely on against the document itself. CIRE is a reading aid, not an authority, and in particular it is not legal, medical, financial or professional advice.

If you are a student: submitting CIRE’s output as your own work may breach your institution’s academic-integrity rules. Those rules are yours to know and follow.

7. Availability and changes to the Service

CIRE is early software offered as-is while it develops. We may change, suspend, or withdraw features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We will not delete your content merely because a feature changes, and we will give reasonable notice before any change that would remove access to content you have stored.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service itself — its software, design, and name — belongs to us and our licensors. These Terms give you permission to use it, not any ownership of it. §4 governs your content, and nothing here claims it.

9. Termination

You may stop using CIRE and ask us to close your account at any time; deletion follows the schedule in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaches §5 or that we must act on legally, and will tell you why unless we are forbidden to.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost data, profits, or academic or professional outcomes arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, and will move the date at the top when we do. For a material change we will notify account holders and give notice before it takes effect. Continued use after that point means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Contact

A contact address will be published here once CIRE’s mail domain is set up; we would rather print none than one that bounces. Until then, reach us through whichever channel you used to get access to CIRE.
